About “Ali Malekhoseini”
He is an Iranian surgeon and a member of the faculty of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. He performed the first liver transplant in Iran and is known as the father of liver transplantation in Iran.
Malik Hosseini performed the first liver transplant in Iran, the first liver transplant from a living person to a living person in Iran, and the first transplant from one liver to two people, as well as the founder of the organ transplant department of Namazi Hospital and Abu Ali Sina Organ Transplant Hospital. He was awarded the World Association Award in September 2020. Organ transplant received the link due to its tremendous impact on the advancement of knowledge. He is also one of the lasting figures and one of the winners of the second Allameh Tabatabai Scientific Award of the National Elite Foundation in 2013. An honor ceremony was held by the elite foundation of Fars province in 2016 with the participation of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences with the presence of a group of scientific and cultural figures of the country, their students and top talents.
